7. Reasonable Adjustments
Under the Equality Act 2010, an employer is required to make reasonable adjustment where an employee is disabled. The definition of disability in the Equality Act is if someone has a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on their ability to do normal daily activities. It will be ‘substantial’ if it is more than minor or trivial, e.g., it takes much longer than it usually would to complete a daily task.
